In order to enhance your self-development you must be liable for your negligence or ignorance. The former president of U.S Bill Clinton took responsibilities of his negligence, after it was revealed he had committed adultery with his secretary. Despite of his image being tainted by the media; he choose to be a ‘fool’ by humbling himself throughout the difficult time and sincerely asked for apology. Majority criticized to an extent of taking the saga to court so as he can step down, but this did not happen, after he cleared his final term: he has managed to maintain his dignity so well that to date he is one of the most influential, outstanding, and popular leaders on earth. I understand of some difficult situations where lie is the only solution, but before you do it; remember God does not reject you when something awful of your character comes to light. Stand with the truth (no matter how ugly it is) and He will set you free from the jaws of guilt, shame, and worry.

THE SECOND FACE OF SUCCESS

One of my favorite quotes by the late Martin Luther King is when he said, ‘ if a man is to be street sweeper… he should sweep the streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause and say here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well’. For you to win the acknowledgement of heaven and earth; discipline, hard work, and determination must be prerequisites. If you consider them in anything you do for a living, absolutely you are going to raise its value and attract admiration to many, be it you are a chef, security guard, gardener, or waiter. I remember during the late years of twentieth century. Dj’s in Kenya were perceived from a negative point of being school dropouts, drug addicts, and people who have got no future. No one could allow his daughter to be married to such people. However, those who were focusing on that occupation brought in new dimensions magnifying the job so well that now days the job is worth a million dollar: a Dj can earn 200,000- 300,000 within a week. The significance of an occupation is not determined by how much it pays, but how smart you work. Be creative!

TRUE LOVE IS ALL ABOUT GOD'S WAYS

True love should not be engrossed where romantic aroma odors, but should be focused in all areas of life. This is because God is love based on what He said “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love”- 1^st John 4:8. God still remains to be the Father of all human races despite of different religion beliefs: His love is perpetual and immutable. How Christians love one another as brothers and sisters, should also be reflected to their counterparts of different faith because we are all human beings whom we resemble Gods image.Love is characterized by a series of elevations, in which various principles are applied. These principles are well stated in 1^st Corinthians 13:4-7, where Paul said “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres”.This definition has made my thought to be intertwined with one of the late Martin Luther King’s quotes to understand it in a new way that, “the ultimate measure of a person  of true love is not where they it stands in times of comfort and conveniences; but where they  it stands in times of challenges and controversy. When you read this quote try to remember some the people who hurted you and it is very hard to forget them, those who betrayed you and almost coasted your life to come to an end at some point, and those who laughed at you to an extent you became a 'fugitive': do you still hate them?  Are you still keeping the records of what they did to you? Are you still planning how you are going to revenge now that you are more successful or when you will outdo them?  Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord- Romans 12:19.We are living in times where evil is entertained so much that values of love have lost meaning, in other words they have been corrupted with flesh satisfaction. We see fornication to be a prerequisite for most couples before they get married or who are in a relationship; people taste waters first and end up in one house for a while to identify any problem areas. Just like the way the road to heaven is thin; trust me when I tell you only few people are ready to take the humble road which requires patience, perseverance, and kindness.  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things- Philippians 4:8. True love will always be manifested based on the right things you think about others. Whatever is true, whatever is right, and whatever is pure, are not earthly ways but God’s ways.

Who will you blame if at all you don’t get employed?Achieving first grades doesn’t mean Medicine and Engineering (just an example) are areas of your strengths. They are just qualifications meaning, you have the capacity to major them. Whatever you do, as long as that is where your passion or talent is, is going to bring out your inner best hence attracting admiration from the public. You will always be unique and more skillful.The number of graduates has been increasing over the years , but why is it that only a few shall be effective even when the rest get employed, they end up being ordinary like the ones we are used to. Does their knowledge lack creativity because it is full of theories? Why should plant seek food yet they are the producers? The main thing that makes people not to be real is the desire to be like others. You are aspiring to follow other people’s ways and styles of success rather than appreciating them. Keep in mind you will never ever be like them, after them there shall be no more.Always have an ambition of achieving like who you are. Your goals should be your desires. There is no need for you to drop out from high school in order to achieve like Richard Branson (CEO Virgin Group). How God leads one to success is totally different from how He is going to lead you. Don’t look down at whatever little you are doing with your heart and think it is worthless, remember … God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and He has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong- 1 Corinthians 1:27. The power of your gift is much greater than highest level of education one can attain, this is what will bring you before great men- Proverbs 18:16.

THE ORDER OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES

Should people speak in tongues without interpreters? This is a query I have been asking myself whenever I hear one switching to tongues as he/she is preaching or praying: I don’t understand it. I am twenty two years old but up to date I have not heard anyone translating it. I don’t know if God has failed to provide the power of interpretation, but what I believe is that there must be an interpreter based on what Paul said “…anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says” then he continued saying “If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God”-1 Corinthians 14:13, 27-29.Tongues are a heavenly language used for addressing God “For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit”- 1 Corinthians 14:2, the Church because interpreters are needed to bring prophecy so as to build the Church, and unbelievers “Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers…” - 1 Corinthians 14:22.Tongues are meant for unbelievers so as they see the wonders of God through language which they think God cannot use it to address them. This is in Acts 2:4-12, “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. Utterly amazed, they asked: “Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”Paul clearly describes how tongues are spoken “…he utters mysteries with his spirit”. But now days people utter what is obvious because of some common repetitive sounds you will always hear or guess what you are about listen like:/sh/ /r/ /ba/ /ta/ /ma/ /la/ etc. How A has said it will sound the same for B, or how they both speak it will keep on sounding the same. Does this language lack variety?People who speak in tongues edify themselves 1st  Corinthians 14:4. This is the same as building your faith in God but, it does not prove your faith identity before people. Don’t get twisted here: when one speaks in tongues, it might be for himself communicating with God, or for the Church as long as there is an interpreter , or for you as long as you are going to understand it.For God is not a God of disorder but of peace… - 1 Corinthians 14:33. Whenever there is disorder, confusion comes in: conflict will emerge as a result of misunderstandings. God has already put down some mechanisms for things to be in order that is why He is saying “…anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says”.
